Prescriptions

Ordering Repeat Prescriptions

You can order a repeat prescription in the following ways:

If you are housebound, why not sign up to a pharmacy of your choice, who can re-order your prescriptions on your behalf. Please contact your preferred pharmacy, who will organise this on your behalf. You can find your local pharmacy by visiting our Prescriptions Room.

Please do not order your prescription early, i.e before 7 days from when it is due, as this will be rejected.

Please allow at least 3 working days for this to be processed and let us know which chemist you wish to collect the medicines from. Please also be aware that it can take at least an additional 24 hours (1 full day) for pharmacies to process these requests.

Medication Reviews

Patients on repeat medication will be asked to see a doctor, nurse practitioner or practice nurse at least once a year to review these regular medications and notification should appear on your repeat slip.

Please ensure that you book an appropriate appointment to avoid unnecessary delays to further prescriptions. If you have been asked to complete a medication review, please complete our Medication Review Form.

Electronic Prescriptions Service

The Electronic Prescriptions Service (EPS) allows you to sign up to a pharmacy of your choice. Your repeat prescriptions can then be sent directly to pharmacy. To register for this service please complete our Register for the Electronic Prescriptions Form.
