We are pleased to inform you that community health services for Moss Grove Surgery’s patients transferred from the Midlands Partnership NHS Foundation Trust (MPFT) to the Dudley Group NHS Foundation Trust (DGFT), on October 1st 2021. All patients directly affected will have been written to.
When we merged our Kinver and Kingswinford surgeries and transferred to Dudley Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG) we said that this would bring benefits to our patients in Kinver. We explained that one of those benefits would be the chance to provide more patient services closer to home. This change is one of the first opportunities we have had to make this happen.
From October 1st 2021, Moss Gross Surgery, Kinver, patients needing community health services such as district nursing or community physiotherapy will be provided with these services by the team at DGFT.
Every effort has been made to make this transfer as seamless as possible so that the overall service to patients is not disturbed
Delivery of some other services will remain with MPFT at this time, although they too may transfer to a new provider in the future. These services are: children’s services, mental health and learning disabilities.
If and when these plans are complete, patients affected will receive details of the arrangements in advance
As these changes are made patients will benefit from having a provider based close to Kinver and using facilities in and around Dudley. This will make community services more easily accessible and more responsive. In addition, GPs will have a much better understanding of the overall care package being provided to patients which will help them too.
Working closely with our partners and in conjunction with our colleagues and neighbours in Kingswinford, Moss Grove Surgery will continue to look to identify, secure and deliver improved health and community care for our patients in Kinver.
